About Catherine

Catherine S. Cabrera is a Finance undergraduate and multifamily residential property-management leader based in Las Vegas, Nevada, with over nine years of property-management experience. She began her career in property management at age 16, gaining early experience in residential real estate before briefly transitioning into the tax industry at age 19. She returned to property management in April 2020 and has remained in the industry since, advancing through leasing, assistant management, and property-management leadership roles. Over the course of her career, she has spent several years in leadership positions, ultimately taking responsibility for the operations and financial performance of multimillion-dollar multifamily residential communities.

Her responsibilities have included supervising teams, managing budgets and forecasts, overseeing financial reporting, coordinating with accounting departments and investors, supporting leasing and occupancy performance, and ensuring compliance with safety, legal, and regulatory requirements. Catherine has developed a strong understanding of how day-to-day property operations influence the financial performance, long-term value, and overall success of multifamily assets.

Catherine has complemented her professional experience with a strong academic foundation in business and finance. She earned an Associate of Science in Business Administration in 2025 and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas’ Lee Business School, with graduation expected in 2027. Her studies are strengthening her knowledge of corporate finance, investments, financial markets, risk management, financial analysis, and wealth management.

As she continues to grow professionally, Catherine is expanding her understanding of property management from an asset-management and investment perspective. Her extensive on-site experience provides her with a practical understanding of the operational factors that drive asset performance, while her finance education is helping her develop the analytical skills needed to evaluate real estate from an ownership and investment standpoint. Her long-term professional interests include real estate asset management and acquisitions.

Catherine is known for her supportive leadership style and openness to feedback. She brings honesty, professionalism, discipline, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous growth to her work. She is particularly proud of being trusted by organizational leadership to take on challenging assets and help improve their operations and performance.

Outside of her professional and academic pursuits, Catherine enjoys reading, nature walks, fitness, cooking, Bible study, and fixing computers. Her broader goal is to inspire as many people as possible, particularly through education and mentorship. Following completion of her undergraduate studies, she aspires to pursue a Master’s degree and eventually teach at the collegiate level. Her passion for learning and helping others reflects a career vision that extends beyond professional achievement toward creating a lasting positive impact on the people and communities she serves.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Catherine

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to discipline, resilience, and relentless focus. I approach adversity with a stoic mindset, concentrating on what I can control while remaining open to the wisdom of those with greater experience. Once I commit to a goal, I stay the course.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

“We’ll cross that bridge when we get there” has been some of the best career advice I’ve received. It taught me not to become overwhelmed by challenges that haven’t happened yet, but to stay focused on what I can control, handle what is in front of me, and trust myself to navigate the next challenge when it comes.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Stay humble and remain teachable. No matter how much you accomplish, there will always be something to learn from others. Listen to those with greater experience, welcome constructive feedback, and never let success convince you that you have nothing left to learn. Humility and a willingness to learn will take you further than ego ever will.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the greatest opportunities in property management is the ability to continuously grow. The industry brings together leadership, finance, operations, and customer service, creating endless opportunities to expand your knowledge and perspective. I believe the more you understand each side of the business, the more value you can bring to a property, a team, and an organization.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Discipline, humility, integrity, and continuous growth are the values I try to carry into both my work and personal life. I believe in staying grounded, doing what I say I will do, remaining open to learning from others, and continuing to improve regardless of how much experience I gain.
