Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to discipline, focus, and drive three qualities that have consistently guided my work ethic and decision-making throughout my career. Over the past 28 years in this business, they have enabled me to stay committed, adapt to challenges, and maintain a high standard of performance.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to stay in my lane remain focused, keep distractions to a minimum, and not compare my journey to others. I’ve learned that maintaining clarity of purpose and staying committed to my own path leads to more meaningful growth and long-term success.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't quit your day job. When you're starting, you need money to build a business. You need to be investing in certain things, especially in real estate. You know, it's like any other business, right? You have to invest into your business. You need money coming in to start, whether that's your day job or your night job. In marketing, that's for sure. This is a business just like everything else.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge in my field right now is discount brokers and people that are part-time agents who are not full-service. Unfortunately, I feel like they're just taking the industry down because they take discount commissions, which makes it harder for the rest of us. A lot of these agents just came into the business during COVID when they thought it was easy, and now the only way that they can give value to themselves is they discount their fee, which doesn't usually work out for the seller or the buyer, for that matter. And they're not educated, you know? They're part-timers, not in the trenches every day. It's a huge liability. On the flip side, the biggest opportunity is that people with a lot of experience right now are really leveling up. There's been a lot of people who have left the industry, so those who have been in it for the long haul and have the skills and the knowledge are gonna win.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Trust, integrity, and honesty are the values that guide both my professional and personal life. I view these principles as the foundation of everything I do, shaping how I build relationships, make decisions, and uphold accountability in all aspects of my work and interactions.
