Her Story

About Chelsea

I've been working in fashion media for about three and a half years, and I've been in my current role for about two years. My busiest days are event days, whenever there are big events in the city like the Met Gala or any award show, where I do coverage. A typical event day starts super early in the morning, sometimes as early as 6 a.m., where we map out the area to get the best coverage, plan out all our content for the day, and optimize our online traffic. I serve as the host and director, wearing many hats while making sure my photographer and editor are all on the same page. After the event, we always eat dinner together to unwind from these very long, time-consuming days. My most notable achievement was being able to get Met Gala coverage under my own name and brand, which I had always dreamed of but didn't think was possible. I'm so proud of what I've accomplished. I run The Bratz Blog, which is a fashion blog centered around women's self-care. My main goal is to spread brand awareness and help women feel better about themselves through fashion, style, and beauty tips. I want to remind women that it is okay to be a brat, to spoil the inner brat in you. We shouldn't feel bad for being who we are or be demonized for wanting to maintain our mental health and self-care.

01What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I believe it's important to remind women that it is okay to be a brat and spoil the inner brat in you. We are women, we were born to be brats, and we shouldn't feel bad for being who we are. We're emotional, it happens, and we shouldn't be demonized for expressing that or for wanting to maintain our mental health. There are many ways men maintain their mental health and self-care, but it's not really seen on the other side, and it tends to make women feel like maybe they shouldn't do self-care because of how it looks. I want to get that out of our heads. My way of helping women feel better about themselves is through talking about fashion, style, and beauty tips. I'm not a psychologist or therapist, but this is my way of spreading love and helping women with self-care.
