About Christine
Christine is a visionary design leader, Certified Design Futurist, educator, and advocate whose career spans three decades in the commercial interior design industry. As the founder and Principal of Kaleidoscope Concept, a California-certified women-owned business enterprise, she has built a reputation for helping organizations transform ideas into meaningful, future-focused environments. Drawing on experience that includes leadership roles with major dealerships and manufacturers, Christine launched Kaleidoscope Concept to offer a fresh, client-centered approach to design, combining research, innovation, and strategic partnerships to create spaces that reflect both purpose and possibility.
A recognized leader within the design community, Christine has dedicated more than 20 years of service to the International Interior Design Association (IIDA), where she currently serves in executive leadership for the Southern California Chapter. Throughout her tenure, she has championed advocacy, equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives, helping shape conversations around equitable design and the future of the profession. As a Certified Design Futurist, she is particularly passionate about exploring emerging trends, technological advancements, and human-centered design strategies that influence how people live, work, learn, and connect. Her thought leadership extends through speaking engagements, industry programs, and podcast discussions focused on innovation and inclusive design.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Christine is deeply committed to education, mentorship, and community impact. She serves as an Interior Design Instructor at Orange Coast College, where she helps prepare the next generation of design professionals, while also mentoring students and emerging leaders throughout Southern California. Her volunteer work includes mentoring youth through the Orangewood Foundation and supporting numerous philanthropic and community-based initiatives. Guided by a belief that design has the power to improve lives and strengthen communities, Christine continues to inspire positive change through leadership, education, advocacy, and a steadfast commitment to seeing design differently.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to determination, a strong goal-oriented mindset, and careful attention to detail. I believe in embracing new opportunities, pursuing continuous education, and maintaining a spirit of curiosity and growth. Equally important, I strive to lead with kindness and respect, while focusing on making a meaningful difference in the lives of others and the communities I serve.
Outside of my professional work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, boating, relaxing at the beach, and traveling. These experiences allow me to recharge, gain new perspectives, and stay inspired both personally and professionally.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to never be afraid of obstacles, because growth often comes from overcoming challenges and embracing the unexpected. I’ve learned to remain open and honest, trust that my voice matters, and focus on making a positive difference every day.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women entering this industry to view every opportunity as a stepping stone to something greater. I also believe in bringing positivity, collaboration, and enthusiasm to every team, because the energy and support you give to others often comes back to you.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Provide my clients with new knowledge/research and a way to capture the vision they want to display. Research and partnering with those who have the latest advancements for all environments.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me are creating my own path, remaining open to new opportunities, and staying true to who I am. I believe that embracing my unique perspective, continuously growing, and approaching life with authenticity have been essential to both my personal fulfillment and professional success.
