Her Story

About Clestine

I was an engineer for 8 years after graduating from college with a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering in 1987. But 2 years into my engineering career, I realized I really wasn't an engineer. I was good at math and science, but I wasn't passionate about engineering. So I prayed for 6 years, and God finally revealed that my real and true purpose was helping Christian women identify their purpose and monetize it. In 2003, I started my business as an international speaker. I do my own events, plus I speak at other people's events, churches, and do training. A few years into speaking, I realized there were people that needed more than just motivation, so I decided to pull back a little bit and develop some coaching programs. I actually have 3 coaching programs that ladder together. The main program I promote is the Souled Method (S-O-U-L-E-D), which is my signature program that helps women identify what their purpose is and then monetize it. I took a step back from speaking to build the methodology for this program, and now I'm relaunching my speaking. I've published two books - the first one in 2006 called Nuggets of Knowledge to Get Unstuck (Nuggets with a K, it's a play on words), and the second one in 2016 called The Art of Trusting Yourself. I'm working on my third book this year, and it seems like 10 years apart is a pattern for me.

Ten minutes with Clestine

01What do you attribute your success to?

I would say prayer and not giving up. Those are the two key factors that have kept me going throughout my journey. My faith and my commitment to keep pushing forward, even when things were difficult, have been essential to my success.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would encourage them to surround themselves with a circle of people that will not mother them, but push them to be their best. And I would tell them to be focused and intentional in everything they do. Having the right people around you who challenge you to grow, combined with staying focused on your goals, is essential for success in this field.
