01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my determination to lead by example for my daughter and to show her the importance of using her voice with confidence and purpose. I believe that every woman has a unique voice, perspective, and story that deserves to be heard. My commitment to speaking authentically, embracing my experiences, and encouraging others to do the same has strengthened my personal and professional journey. I want my daughter to understand that her voice has value and that she should never be afraid to use it to advocate for herself, pursue her goals, and create meaningful change.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to start before you feel completely ready and take things one step at a time. You don’t have to know everything before you begin; what matters is being willing to learn, grow, and adapt along the way. Every experience provides an opportunity to gain knowledge and build confidence, so I believe in taking that first step, continuing to move forward, and trusting that the answers will come through the journey.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering my industry is to be true to who you are and trust your own journey. You do not have to have everything figured out from the beginning or compare your progress to anyone else’s. Take each day as it comes, focus on one step at a time, remain open to learning, and give yourself permission to grow through every experience. Most importantly, stay authentic, believe in your abilities, and never be afraid to use your voice and pursue the path that is right for you.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are love, faith, authenticity, honesty, and self-respect. I believe it is essential to be honest with yourself, recognize your worth, and appreciate who you are. Loving and accepting yourself creates a strong foundation for personal growth and meaningful relationships with others. I strive to remain true to myself, lead with love and faith, and encourage others to embrace their individuality, honor their journey, and confidently be who they are.

From Cocoa Farm to Self-Discovery: Choosing Growth Over Tradition
My story, while rooted in the Ghanaian experience, is universal. We all have "villages" in our lives, whether they are literal communities, corporate cultures, or family expectations, that try to dictate our path. The dilemma is always the same: Do we stay small to keep the peace, or do we grow and risk the friction?
I chose the friction. And in that friction, I found my fire. I moved from being a girl who was "sent" to America to a woman who owned her place within it. I built businesses, raised incredible children, and finally learned that the most important "arrangement" in life is the one you make with your own soul. Resilience is not a personality trait you are born with; it is a muscle you build every time you choose your own voice over the echoes of tradition.
