Her career also includes experience in retail and insurance sales, as well as more than 11 years as a long-term substitute teacher. Her background in education strengthened her ability to communicate effectively, support others, adapt to different needs, and encourage personal development. Building upon these experiences, Rexford is currently working on two additional books that focus on self-love, personal energy, emotional growth, and closing the gap between an individual’s current circumstances and their desired future. Her work as an author and coach is driven by a desire to empower women, particularly those who have experienced cultural, societal, or familial pressures, to embrace their voices and recognize their inherent value.
At the heart of Rexford’s professional philosophy is a strong belief in determination, authenticity, resilience, and self-empowerment. She attributes much of her success to her commitment to modeling strength and perseverance for her daughter while demonstrating that women are capable of achieving far more than traditional expectations may suggest. Her personal experiences have reinforced her belief that transformation begins with self-awareness and the courage to take intentional steps forward. Through her books, coaching, mentorship, and entrepreneurial endeavors, Rexford seeks to inspire others to practice self-love, trust their individual journeys, and create lives that reflect their authentic aspirations. Her advice to aspiring professionals is straightforward yet meaningful: take one step at a time, remain open to learning, embrace the lessons that come with experience, and never lose sight of who you are.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Comfort
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my determination to lead by example for my daughter and to show her the importance of using her voice with confidence and purpose. I believe that every woman has a unique voice, perspective, and story that deserves to be heard. My commitment to speaking authentically, embracing my experiences, and encouraging others to do the same has strengthened my personal and professional journey. I want my daughter to understand that her voice has value and that she should never be afraid to use it to advocate for herself, pursue her goals, and create meaningful change.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to start before you feel completely ready and take things one step at a time. You don’t have to know everything before you begin; what matters is being willing to learn, grow, and adapt along the way. Every experience provides an opportunity to gain knowledge and build confidence, so I believe in taking that first step, continuing to move forward, and trusting that the answers will come through the journey.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering my industry is to be true to who you are and trust your own journey. You do not have to have everything figured out from the beginning or compare your progress to anyone else’s. Take each day as it comes, focus on one step at a time, remain open to learning, and give yourself permission to grow through every experience. Most importantly, stay authentic, believe in your abilities, and never be afraid to use your voice and pursue the path that is right for you.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are love, faith, authenticity, honesty, and self-respect. I believe it is essential to be honest with yourself, recognize your worth, and appreciate who you are. Loving and accepting yourself creates a strong foundation for personal growth and meaningful relationships with others. I strive to remain true to myself, lead with love and faith, and encourage others to embrace their individuality, honor their journey, and confidently be who they are.
