I am a training and banking professional with over a decade of experience in financial services and a deep commitment to leadership development and operational excellence. I previously served as Training Admin Supervisor at Alpine Bank, a role I held since May 2023, where I oversaw training administration, developed learning programs, and supported the professional growth of team members across the organization. Prior to this promotion, I served as a Certified Bank Training Professional at Alpine Bank for nearly ten years, from October 2013 to July 2023, where I designed and delivered training programs that enhanced employee knowledge, compliance, and performance. Before my career in banking, I served in the military for over eight years, first as a Private First Class in the United States Army Reserve from 2009 to 2012, and then with the Colorado National Guard from 2012 to 2017. My military service instilled in me a strong work ethic, discipline, and a commitment to teamwork and mission readiness that continues to shape my professional approach today. I have recently been promoted to Staff Development Manager, where I am responsible for planning, directing, and implementing educational programs and training initiatives to equip Alpine Bank’s most valuable asset, its employees, with the necessary skills to perform banking operations and provide great customer service. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Administration and Management from Southern New Hampshire University, where I maintain a 4.0 GPA and have been recognized as an Honor Roll Student and a Spring Semester President's List Recipient. I also studied Business Administration at Colorado Mountain College, where I maintained a 3.5 GPA and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Roll. Across my career in banking, training, and military service, my work has been driven by a commitment to excellence, continuous learning, and service to others. Whether I am leading training initiatives, developing future leaders, or serving my country, I bring dedication, integrity, and a focus on building strong teams and strong communities. 01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to discipline, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous growth. My military background taught me the importance of accountability, resilience, and leading by example, values that have carried into my professional career.
I’ve also been fortunate to work alongside strong leaders and teams who have challenged me to grow and expand my perspective. Most importantly, I believe in investing in others. When you focus on developing people and building strong, supportive teams, success becomes a shared outcome rather than an individual achievement.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I’ve received is to stay coachable and never stop learning. No matter your role or level of experience, there is always an opportunity to improve, refine your skills, and grow as a leader.
Being open to feedback and willing to adapt has allowed me to step into new opportunities with confidence and continue evolving in my career.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice is to believe in your ability to lead, even early in your career. You don’t need to have all the answers to make an impact, you just need the willingness to learn, stay disciplined, and step forward when opportunities arise.
Find mentors who challenge and support you, and don’t be afraid to ask questions or seek feedback. Most importantly, stay coachable. Growth happens when you’re open to learning, adapting, and continuously improving your skills.
Your perspective is valuable, and your voice matters. When you combine confidence with a strong work ethic and a commitment to learning, you create opportunities not just for yourself, but for others around you.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in administrative training and operations is keeping pace with change, whether it’s evolving technology, shifting processes, or increasing expectations for efficiency and accuracy. Organizations need training programs that can quickly adapt while still maintaining consistency and quality.
At the same time, this challenge creates a major opportunity. There is a growing need for scalable, practical training solutions that empower employees to be confident and capable in their roles. Leaders who can simplify complex processes and build strong onboarding and development programs are in a position to make a lasting impact.
Another opportunity lies in developing people. Investing in employee growth, engagement, and leadership development not only strengthens teams but also builds a culture that can sustain success over time.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide me are integrity, accountability, and service. I believe in doing the right thing, even when it’s not the easiest path, and holding myself to a high standard in everything I do.
Accountability is also central to my approach, both personally and professionally. It drives consistency, builds trust, and ensures that goals are not just set, but achieved.
Finally, service is at the core of my leadership philosophy. Whether I’m supporting my team, developing training programs, or mentoring others, I focus on creating opportunities for people to succeed.
