About Cortnie

Cortnie Doramus is a purpose-driven leader and dedicated community builder with a strong foundation in luxury multifamily housing. Currently serving as an Assistant Community Manager at Baron Properties, Cortnie brings a calm yet compelling leadership style rooted in empathy, consistency, and faith. Her approach to management goes beyond operations—she’s focused on cultivating trust, building resident engagement, and creating environments where people feel truly at home. Her impact has been recognized through her nomination as a 2025 IAA Assistant Manager of the Year, a testament to the quiet, intentional leadership she exemplifies daily.

Before her transition into property management, Cortnie held roles across diverse industries, including healthcare coordination, office administration, and campus safety. These experiences sharpened her skills in communication, customer service, and operations—each one adding to her ability to lead with both clarity and compassion. A Summa Cum Laude graduate of Southern New Hampshire University, Cortnie holds a degree in Communication and has been honored for her leadership through the National Society of Leadership and Success.

The best career advice I ever received was to network intentionally and dress for the job you want, not just the one you have—wisdom that helped me transition from working in a mechanic shop to thriving in property management—along with a powerful reminder that no career success is worth sacrificing your family or well-being.
