About Crystal

Crystal Johnson, CAC-AD, M.A., M.F.T., is a compassionate and dedicated Addiction health professional with over a decade of experience serving individuals and families affected by addiction and Mental Health. As a Counselor II at Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health, Crystal draws upon her extensive background in substance abuse treatment, cognitive behavioral therapy, and crisis intervention to help clients navigate the path to recovery. Her clinical expertise is complemented by her deep empathy and ability to connect with specialized populations, including victims of domestic violence, individuals with dual diagnoses, ex-offenders, and the homeless.

A graduate of Kaplan University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology specializing in substance abuse, and of Touro University Worldwide with a master’s in marriage and family therapy, Crystal has built a career rooted in healing, education, and empowerment. Her journey in behavioral health has included leadership roles at Project Chesapeake, the Prince George’s County Health Department, Avenues Recovery Center, and Pyramid Healthcare, where she has worked to create supportive, person-centered treatment environments that foster lasting change.

Crystal’s commitment to helping others is fueled by her belief in the ripple effect of kindness and compassion—values she models both in her professional and personal life. As a certified alcohol and drug counselor and an approved alcohol & Drug supervisor, she continues to mentor and inspire others in the field, while working toward her full licensure as a marriage and family therapist.
