She currently serves as Sales Director at Hyatt Regency Lisle near Naperville. Previously, she held sales, marketing, and convention services roles with Hilton, IHG, Accor, and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, supporting hotel growth, client relationships, and guest-focused hospitality operations across the U.S. and Ecuador.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a curiosity mindset and continuous learning. Since I was a teenager, I have always wanted to learn more about other cultures and people, which led me to study and work in hospitality. I believe women especially are curious and want to learn, and that energy helps us succeed. Learning and also teaching, empowering more people, is key.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
You should do it. Keep learning. After COVID, things are changing, so always maintain that curiosity and learning mindset.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge right now is technology, which is constantly changing. We need to use all our resources, explore more, use imagination, and not just sit at the desk.

Success Is Rarely a Straight Line
When we look at accomplished leaders, we often see the achievements, the titles, and the milestones. What we don't always see are the countless moments of uncertainty, sacrifice, change, and perseverance that shaped their journey. Those unseen moments are often where true leadership begins.
Throughout my professional journey, I have learned that leadership is not defined by a position or a title. It is defined by the willingness to serve others, to continue learning, and to move forward even when the path becomes difficult. Every challenge, every unexpected change, and every setback has been an opportunity to grow—not only professionally, but personally.
I believe that each of us has a unique purpose. Sometimes we discover it early in life; other times, it reveals itself through experiences we never expected. Looking back, I can see that every opportunity, every obstacle, and every person who crossed my path arrived at exactly the right moment. What once felt like coincidence now feels like purpose.
Life has an extraordinary way of placing us where we need to be when we are ready to learn the lessons that prepare us for what comes next.
The Journey Is Not Always Easy
There are moments when we question ourselves, wonder whether we are capable, or fear taking the next step. There are seasons of change that demand courage and resilience. Yet those very moments often become the foundation of our greatest growth.
Resilience is more than the ability to recover from adversity. It is the decision to keep believing in ourselves when the outcome is uncertain. It is trusting that our experiences—both the victories and the setbacks—are preparing us to make a greater impact.
Along this journey, I have discovered that empathy is one of the most powerful qualities a leader can possess. When we truly listen, understand, and support others, we create environments where people feel valued, respected, and inspired to become their best selves.
Humility is equally important. No one succeeds alone. Every mentor, colleague, friend, and team member contributes to our growth. Remaining humble reminds us that leadership is not about being above others—it is about lifting others as we climb.
Focus provides direction. It keeps us connected to our purpose despite distractions or setbacks. When our actions align with our values, progress becomes meaningful, and success becomes more than personal achievement—it becomes a positive influence on those around us.
One of the Greatest Responsibilities We Have Is Sharing What We Have Learned
Knowledge grows when it is shared. Experience becomes meaningful when it helps someone else navigate their own journey with greater confidence. Whether through mentoring, coaching, leadership, or simply having honest conversations, every story has the potential to encourage someone who may be standing at the beginning of their own path.
Sometimes, all a person needs to hear is, "You can do this."
That encouragement can become the first step toward a new chapter.
While I have always been passionate about empowering women to pursue leadership and embrace their potential, my purpose extends beyond any single group. I believe in empowering every individual who has a genuine desire to serve others, create positive change, and lead with integrity. Leadership knows no boundaries of gender, background, or profession. It begins with character, compassion, and the commitment to make a difference.
Service Is at the Heart of Meaningful Leadership
When we choose to lead through service, we inspire trust. When we lead with empathy, we create connection. When we lead with resilience, we demonstrate courage. And when we remain humble throughout the journey, we leave a legacy that extends far beyond our own accomplishments.
If there is one message I hope others take from my journey, it is this: Believe in yourself, even when the road feels uncertain. Trust that every challenge carries a lesson, every change creates new opportunities, and every experience is shaping you for something greater.
You do not need to have every answer before taking the first step.
