What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to maintaining balance. I prioritize my family, my health, and my overall well-being. I’m intentional about making time for things like exercise I schedule it into my calendar so it doesn’t get overlooked. Taking care of myself allows me to show up better in every area of my life, including my work.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
One of the best pieces of advice I’ve received is that you don’t always need to have all the answers right away. When someone especially a leader or supervisor—asks a question, it’s okay to take a step back, do your research, and come back with a thoughtful response. I used to feel like I had to respond immediately, but I’ve learned that saying, “That’s a great question, let me look into it and get back to you,” actually shows confidence and leads to better outcomes.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
For women entering the industry, my advice would be not to limit yourself. Many times, we create our own “glass ceiling” by thinking we can’t reach a certain level especially when balancing family or other responsibilities. But anything is possible if you give yourself the chance to grow. There are already enough challenges out there, so don’t become one of your own barriers.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Currently, one of the biggest challenges in my industry is the pressure to do more with fewer resources. I manage a blended team across different locations, which can be complex, but also very rewarding. Although it’s still relatively new, it has been successful and continues to grow.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
In both my personal and professional life, I value integrity and follow-through. I believe in honoring my commitments and being someone others can depend on, with consistency and accountability as core principles that guide how I show up in all areas of my life.
Outside of work, I prioritize staying active and spending quality time with my family. With my children now in college, I am embracing this new stage of life while continuing to invest in my well-being. I maintain a regular fitness routine, including barre classes, which helps me stay balanced, energized, and focused.
