About Deborah

Deborah Broadus is the founder and owner of Supernatural Investigation Group (SIG) and Mystical Spirit, organizations dedicated to paranormal investigation and holistic spiritual services. Since establishing SIG in 2008, she has led a team specializing in residential paranormal investigations, as well as cleansing and blessing services designed to support individuals and families experiencing unexplained phenomena. In addition to her investigative work, Broadus offers Reiki and chakra tuning, intuitive guidance, tarot and oracle card readings, pendulum readings, crystal consultations, and mediumship. A gifted public speaker and entrepreneur, she combines years of experience with a compassionate, client-centered approach.

Broadus's interest in the paranormal is rooted in a lifelong sensitivity to spiritual experiences, which was further shaped by her work as a hospice caregiver, where she provided comfort and support to patients and their families during life's final stages. Her educational background includes a bachelor's degree in Forensic Psychology from South University, earned with honors, as well as studies in clinical and counseling psychology at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. She also holds doctoral degrees in Metaphysical Science and Divinity, reflecting her commitment to expanding her knowledge of both psychology and spiritual practices.

Throughout her career, Broadus has credited much of her success to the mentorship of experienced paranormal investigators and the dedication of her diverse team, whose members bring backgrounds in law enforcement, caregiving, education, and other professions. She believes that humility, compassion, integrity, and attentive listening are essential qualities for anyone working in the paranormal field. Her guiding philosophy is that genuine service to others should always take precedence over recognition or publicity, and she remains committed to helping clients find understanding, comfort, and peace through both investigative and spiritual support.

Ten minutes with Deborah

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to having a great group of peers and older paranormal investigators who guided me, along with a great team. You have got to have a great team.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

My dad told me to remember you're never better than anyone else and stay humble. Also, if you put your mind to it, although it may seem impossible, if you put your mind to it and your will, you will get it accomplished.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't go in expecting to get a TV show. You're doing this to help others. Go into it with a heart. Go old school investigating. Help these people, not go into it for fame and glory. You gotta love it.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The challenge is people coming into the field wanting a TV show instead of helping people. Also, we do not get paid as we are basically non-profit.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Have feelings. Don't be cold. Be caring. Listen and understand. You've got to listen, be understanding, and care, and have a heart. Humble, caring, understanding.
