About Diane
Diane Sanchez is an author and advocate dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence and raising awareness about the challenges they face. Drawing from her own personal experiences, she began her writing journey two years ago, using her voice and storytelling to bring attention to the realities of abuse and the importance of healing. Her work includes Reflection of the Abuse I've Been Through, which reflects her personal journey and serves as an encouragement to others who have experienced similar circumstances.
Diane is the founder and driving force behind The Reflection in Me Alliance, a growing nationwide community that brings together domestic violence survivors and advocates across all 50 states. Through this initiative, she is committed to connecting survivors with valuable resources, encouraging individuals to share their stories when they feel comfortable, and advocating for stronger protections. She believes that every survivor deserves to be heard, respected, supported, and reminded that they are not alone. Her mission is to amplify the voices of survivors while fostering a community built on compassion, dignity, hope, strength, and unity.
Beyond her advocacy and writing, Diane is devoted to her family and balances her responsibilities as a mother with her creative and research pursuits. She continues to develop new writing projects while seeking meaningful ways to transform difficult experiences into positive change. Looking ahead, she aspires to become a spokesperson for women affected by domestic violence, using her platform to inspire courage, promote awareness, and empower others to reclaim their voices and recognize their worth. Through her work, Diane hopes to help create a safer and more supportive future for survivors everywhere.

Ten minutes with Diane
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to hard work, perseverance, and a willingness to learn from every experience. I view challenges as opportunities for growth and appreciate the support and encouragement of those around me. Most importantly, I remain focused on my goals, committed through difficult times, and determined to keep moving forward.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have received is to never underestimate the power of my story while remembering that my purpose is greater than my pain. This reminds me to embrace my experiences, learn from challenges, and remain focused on the bigger purpose behind my journey.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women to never be afraid to use their voices, never apologize for their purpose, and never allow their past experiences to define or limit their future. Believe in your potential, embrace your purpose, and remain confident in the opportunities ahead.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
As an author, advocate, and survivor, one of my greatest challenges is gaining credibility, building trust, and getting others to believe in the vision behind my organizations. Turning a meaningful mission into reality requires finding committed partners, volunteers, supporters, and resources. However, these challenges also create opportunities to build connections, demonstrate impact, and inspire others to support causes that can make a lasting difference.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I value authenticity, perseverance, compassion, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. As an author, advocate, and survivor, I am passionate about helping women who have experienced abuse reclaim their voices, confidence, and self-worth. I believe every woman deserves to be heard, respected, and supported, and I strive to use my writing and advocacy to inspire others. Ultimately, my greatest measure of success is not just my personal accomplishments but the positive impact I can make by empowering women and bringing awareness to issues that are often left unspoken.
