Her Story

About Dominique

Dominique Lewis is a life sciences professional and wellness coach whose career bridges biotechnology, scientific communication, and holistic health education. She began her academic journey on a pre-med track but later shifted toward biological research after recognizing a desire for a more integrative and research-driven approach to healthcare. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Nova Southeastern University, where she built a strong foundation in biotechnology, laboratory methods, and scientific analysis.

Professionally, Dominique has developed extensive experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical space, progressing through roles in upstream manufacturing, technical writing, and life science reporting. She has contributed to organizations such as MilliporeSigma and Terumo Aortic, where her work focuses on technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and ensuring accuracy in drug development and medical device processes. Her transition into life science writing reflects her strength in translating complex scientific data into clear, compliant, and accessible documentation that supports product safety and regulatory standards.

Alongside her scientific career, Dominique has cultivated a parallel path in wellness and coaching, specializing in nervous system regulation, mindfulness, and functional nutrition. Through coaching, writing, and community education at wellness events, she helps individuals address stress, shift limiting beliefs, and build healthier habits through mind-body-soul alignment. She is currently expanding her coaching practice to support clients in developing sustainable emotional and behavioral change using mindfulness, meditation, and mindful eating practices.

Ten minutes with Dominique

01What do you attribute your success to?

Success for me looks like helping others to get to a better state, whether that's state of mind, state of health, or even just spiritual state as well. Just seeing such positive feedback from practice clients and just the people that I work with is what I attribute my success to. It's really about the impact I can make on others and witnessing their transformation.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

When I used to shadow a doctor, he'd always say, go where you're called, and allow yourself to evolve. Parts of my family, or just people who have a straight path, or they've been doing the same thing for 30 years, have kind of brought me down in terms of changing up my career, but I never forget that advice because it's important to go where you're called and allow your career, your gifts to evolve over time. This advice has been especially meaningful as I've navigated my own career transitions and changes.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I value integrity, balance, and purpose in both my professional and personal life, and I strive to ensure that my work reflects my principles and creates meaningful impact. Outside of work, I prioritize spending time in nature through activities like biking and hiking, and I also have a strong appreciation for music, often enjoying and collecting vinyl records as a way to stay grounded and inspired.
