Dori Stolmaker is a seasoned cleaning industry professional and entrepreneur who has owned and operated Distinctive Cleaning & Maintenance Services, Inc. in Tucson, Arizona, for nearly two decades. Building her business from the ground up, she has developed extensive expertise in both residential and commercial cleaning, with a strong understanding of surfaces, materials, products, equipment, and specialized cleaning techniques. Her career in the industry began even earlier, influenced by her father’s long-standing cleaning business and her own experience operating a cleaning company in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Beyond managing day-to-day operations, Dori places significant emphasis on employee training, mentorship, and professional development. She has created a comprehensive training system centered on her “5-star standard,” teaching employees not only how to clean effectively but also why specific techniques, products, and equipment should be used. Her approach emphasizes safety, accountability, attention to detail, proper chemical use, and respect for different materials and surfaces. Through hands-on leadership, Dori continues to work alongside her team while holding herself to the same standards she expects from her employees.

Community involvement and service are also important parts of Dori’s life. She has been involved with the Marana Chamber of Commerce and has served as a race director for the Marana Run/Walk, helping bring businesses, schools, volunteers, and community members together to raise funds for local children. An avid runner, she also uses running to support charitable causes involving bone marrow cancer and brain research and continues to pursue personal athletic goals. Guided by her father’s example to never ask employees to do something she would not do herself, Dori leads with accountability, transparency, professionalism, and a commitment to setting the example through her own actions.
