About EDINA
Edina Suhonjic is a multifaceted artist, photographer, author, and creator based in the St. Louis area. She earned a bachelor's degree in business administration and management from Fontbonne University and spent over 20 years working in finance and property management before shifting focus after personal hardships including a car accident and family health crises. Through Sunes Creative Studio Photography Art, she produces photography, foil art, and organic soaps, authored the book Rose in the Snow in Bosnian, and channels her experiences into inspiring others via nature-inspired creations and community gatherings. Suhonjic is deeply involved in philanthropy, donating artwork to hospitals, serving in food pantries, aiding children with cancer in Bosnia, and rescuing animals. She speaks Bosnian and English, attributes her resilience and success to God and a higher power, and prioritizes values of empathy, kindness, compassion, authenticity, and helping others while advising women to pursue what they love and avoid unappreciative environments.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to God and a higher power. I could not do it by myself and never take credit for anything I did. It was God's angels and something healthy that helped me overcome everything.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice is to do what you love. Do little things that make your heart happy, say no to everything that doesn't put a smile on your face, and try to do everything from a place of love for yourself first too. Don't lose yourself.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't stay at places where you are not appreciated and happy or where you are just used. There is so much out there and the sky can be the limit. Open your heart to different things and don't sell yourself short. It's okay to love yourself first.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Empathy, kindness, compassion, and helping others are most important. Knowing what's wrong and what's good. Being authentic and using my own logic and way of thinking rather than following others. The point of life is helping others and not being selfish.
