Elena Moseyko is the Founder and CEO of LedgrAI, a pioneering platform that transforms complex lease portfolios into transparent, audit-ready schedules. Based in the Washington DC-Baltimore area, Elena built LedgrAI to help accounting teams reclaim their time, reducing multi-hour manual lease accounting tasks into a matter of minutes. Her mission is rooted in making accountants’ lives easier, providing a system that emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and practical usability rather than being just another software tool. With over a decade of experience in AI and machine learning, Elena began her career as an actuary before transitioning into AI/ML engineering roles at organizations including Deloitte, UnitedHealth Group, and the public sector. Her background spans healthcare and financial services, where she built enterprise systems in highly regulated environments, emphasizing precision, security, and accountability. These experiences shaped LedgrAI into a trusted system that accountants can inspect, rely on, and integrate into their workflows. Elena earned both a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science and a Master’s degree in Data Science from Maryville University of Saint Louis, graduating magna cum laude and with honors, respectively. She leverages this strong technical foundation to develop AI solutions that extract lease terms from PDFs, automate GAAP-compliant schedules, and streamline audit processes. Beyond technology, Elena is deeply committed to mentorship and entrepreneurship, having utilized resources from SCORE and the AI startup founder community to launch and grow LedgrAI successfully, securing her first clients and paving the way for further innovation in accounting automation.

LedgrAI has been featured in Yahoo Finance and MarketWatch, reflecting growing industry recognition of its impact on lease accounting compliance.

Each chapter of Elena's career was a deliberate step toward what she believed was possible: using rigorous science to solve compliance problems that cost businesses enormous time and risk.

As someone who navigated technical and professional spaces as an immigrant and multilingual professional, Elena brings an outsider's precision and an insider's determination to every system she builds.

Looking ahead, Elena is focused on expanding LedgrAI's capabilities across lease accounting standards and building a company that proves precision AI and founder-led values can coexist. She is committed to supporting other women entrepreneurs navigating the intersection of deep tech and regulated industries.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I believe my passion to always learn new things and to keep up with new developments and new technologies has been key to my success. My natural curiosity and desire to be aware of what's going on around me have definitely helped me discover new paths, meet new people, and find out about problems that exist in the industry that can be improved with AI. This constant learning and awareness of the world around me have enabled me to identify opportunities and make the right moves in my career.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I got was to always listen carefully before I speak. This advice has helped me a lot when talking to potential clients, finding new opportunities, and just in life in general. Taking the time to truly listen before responding has been invaluable throughout my career and entrepreneurial journey.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My first advice is to find a mentor in the field. I've found this has always been helpful throughout my career, both when working at Deloitte and once I started my own company. My other advice would be to always ask for feedback from managers and peers, because once you receive feedback as soon as possible, you can have a clear picture about your work and the results you're providing. Since AI is rapidly developing, I also advise constantly reading about AI news because it all creates the full picture about the next right move in your career.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

My biggest challenge was finding our first clients. However, we finally secured our first clients. We're also on the path to signing contracts with more clients for our pilot program, where we can start to develop our AI agentic platform and integrate features for the first pilot customers based on their feedback. There are a number of mid-sized CPA firms that are still doing lease accounting manually and are not happy with their current software, and they cannot afford the enterprise solutions. I'm very excited to help them and develop AI agentic solutions that we can integrate and help them improve their processes.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Balance, discipline, and presence are the values most important to me. Skiing and hiking teach me to embrace challenge and stay persistent. Time outdoors keeps me grounded and mentally clear. And family is everything. Being fully present with my kids and husband, going to parks and festivals, is how I recharge and stay connected to what matters most. These values shape who I am, and who I am shapes everything I do.
