About Elise
Elise Warfield is a real estate investment, transactions, financial analysis, and asset management professional with extensive experience in multifamily housing and property investment. She currently serves as Senior Director of Transactions at Greystar after a long tenure with the company, where she leads the transactions team. In this role, she oversees all transactions related to acquisitions, dispositions, and refinances across the U.S., ranging from single assets to large portfolios and REIT mergers, and handles financing for development deals. She works extensively with legal teams on contracts and structuring, manages communications with counterparties, lenders, investors, and guarantors, and conducts diligence processes. Her educational background includes a degree from the University of Virginia, following elementary education at Calvert School in Baltimore, Maryland.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I've always been this way since I was little. My parents were wonderful but I was the one showing my report card to them. I went to an elementary school called Calvert in Baltimore, Maryland and the skills I learned there I use more in life today. I just feel like they really instilled learning skills and value in me and partially I was born with a little of it but really it has always been the sweat.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't let it... you've got to be smart on AI. AI is moving faster than we are and you've got to be smart on AI and get ahead of that curve. Take advantage of any opportunity. There's no opportunity that's too small or too large. Convince yourself that you are equipped to take on anything and have the confidence to take what comes at you. A college degree is not enough anymore.
