Elissa Waker

She is an emergency management, operational readiness, critical infrastructure, emergency planning, business continuity, technical writing, compliance planning, disaster response, environmental response, and regulatory support professional with experience supporting water, wastewater, and drainage infrastructure readiness, coordinating EOC operations, leading tabletop exercises, developing after-action reports, managing re-entry programs, and supporting hazard mitigation planning. She currently serves as Assistant Director of Emergency Management at the Sewerage & Water Board of New Orleans. Her background also includes senior technical writing and response planning work with Forefront Emergency Management.
