01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have ever received was to recognize the value of my customer service experience. When I began my career in banking, I had no prior banking experience, but I had developed strong customer service skills. My first employer reminded me that technical knowledge and systems could be taught, while the ability to connect with and serve customers was an invaluable foundation. That advice has stayed with me throughout my career and reinforced the importance of recognizing the transferable skills and experiences I bring to every new opportunity.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is simple: go for it and bring your authentic personality with you. Never allow anyone to dull the unique sparkle and energy you bring to your work. In customer service, your personality can make a meaningful difference in every interaction, so embrace your individuality and let your own “Disney magic” shine through. Be confident, enthusiastic, and true to yourself, because the qualities that make you unique can become some of your greatest professional strengths.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the greatest opportunities in my field right now is to create memorable customer experiences by going above and beyond traditional service expectations. I believe there is real value in adding a little “Disney magic” to every customer interaction by anticipating needs and offering thoughtful assistance, whether that means providing check registers, debit card sleeves, deposit slips, or checks. These small gestures can make a significant difference and help customers feel genuinely valued, appreciated, and cared for.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are positivity, consistency, and maintaining peace of mind and a peaceful heart. I believe that staying positive, remaining consistent in my efforts, and approaching life with a sense of inner peace helps me navigate challenges with grace and maintain meaningful relationships. These values guide how I interact with others, approach my responsibilities, and strive to create a positive environment wherever I go.
