What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my absolute passion and love for what I do - it's totally my passion. After being a teacher for 20 years, which I absolutely loved, I found myself pursuing a career in travel that I love so much more because I'm helping people experience everlasting memorable moments with their families and friends. I know how it can feel to be going to another country and feeling lost, but for my clients they never feel that way as I help them map out where and what they want to do and experience. My ability to build long-lasting relationships with my clients is key - I treat each client as if they were my family, which allows them to have the most amazing time with their families and loved ones. What drives me most is getting to restore people through travel, whether that's opening up the world for my nephew who has never been anywhere and has had a super hard life, or taking women through transitions like retirement or the loss of their husbands on restorative group travel to spoil them and lighten their spirits.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
You too can have a career doing exactly what you love doing but have a successful career to provide for your family
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
You too can do it, just work hard and try to treat each client as if they were your family
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Being able to get her name out there so that she can help others have an amazing time on their vacations.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Being able to help all of my clients have their dream vacations is most important to me. I love getting to bring my friends and family all over the world and create lasting lifetime memories for all to enjoy - I got to bring my son on safari, my sister and nephew to amazing glass igloos on a fjord with a glacier in Norway where we went ATVing and could even swim with orcas. Opening up the world, especially for my nephew who has never been anywhere and has had a super hard life, means everything to me. I also deeply value being there for women going through transitions - I have lots of friends whose husbands died this year, so I take them on group travel as something restorative to spoil them, let them know we're here for them, and lighten their spirits. My main passion is to restore people through travel.
