What do you attribute your success to?
My success has been shaped by a deep commitment to listening before communicating, understanding audience needs, and leading with clarity and purpose. I approach my career with a positive lens, choosing to see possibilities rather than obstacles. I have also learned the value of stepping into opportunities that challenge me, even when they feel uncomfortable, because growth often requires courage.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I received was to embrace ownership of solutions, not just tasks. This means understanding the “why” behind work, anticipating needs, and offering proactive ideas that move projects forward. This mindset has enabled me to build trust, influence outcomes, and drive meaningful progress.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I encourage young women to take the leap beyond their comfort zone. When opportunities present themselves, do not feel intimidated. Embracing new challenges fosters curiosity, broadens perspective, and allows you to see business and leadership from diverse angles. Prioritize building meaningful relationships, continue learning, and do not underestimate the value of mentorship and sponsorship to support both personal development and visibility.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
A key challenge is communicating in an information-rich environment where attention is limited. Internal communicators must ensure messages are timely, relevant, and resonate across hybrid and global teams. At the same time, there is an opportunity to leverage data and digital tools to tailor communication, measure impact, and connect employees more authentically to purpose and strategy.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity, clarity, and empathy are foundational in my work and personal life. I value honest, transparent communication, respect for diverse voices, and a commitment to lifting others.
I prioritize relationship-building, supporting employee wellbeing, and promoting work-life balance through programs like NBCU ZEN Health & Wellness and driving environmental impact through our EcoGreen Program. I focus on reaching others, creating positive influence, and ensuring that every interaction contributes to a stronger, more connected community.
