Ten minutes with Erin
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to maintaining a positive, solution-focused mindset and approaching challenges as opportunities to learn and grow rather than obstacles that define outcomes. I start each day with intention, focusing on how to navigate and solve problems instead of being discouraged by them. Working as a woman in a male-dominated industry has reinforced the importance of resilience, confidence, and perseverance, and I have learned to stay grounded in my goals while continuing to push forward with determination, professionalism, and purpose.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to never say no to an opportunity that challenges you. Growth comes from stepping outside your comfort zone and embracing roles or assignments that stretch your skills, even when they feel difficult or unfamiliar. Each opportunity is a chance to learn, build confidence, and expand your capabilities. Stay open, stay curious, and trust that taking on challenges is the pathway to long-term professional growth and leadership.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I see the biggest challenges and opportunities in my field as closely tied to both the pace of technological advancement and the dynamics of working within a traditionally male-dominated industry. It is essential to remain adaptable, continuously build technical and leadership capabilities, and stay ahead of emerging technologies such as AI, which are rapidly transforming how work is done. At the same time, these advancements create significant opportunities to improve efficiency, enhance decision-making, and streamline processes across global supply chains. Embracing innovation while maintaining strong leadership and resilience is key to driving success in this evolving environment.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
My values are rooted in integrity, family, and the importance of building strong, meaningful relationships in both my professional and personal life. I believe integrity is the foundation of trust and leadership, guiding how I make decisions and show up for others. My family remains my greatest source of strength and perspective, grounding me in what truly matters. Equally, I value relationships deeply, as they are at the heart of collaboration, success, and creating lasting impact in both work and life.
