Eva Mariana Garro is a Natural Fertility and Menstrual Health Expert and communications professional based in Miami, Florida, with over a decade of experience in marketing, communications, and production. She specializes in digital storytelling, brand strategy, and community building, particularly within the wellness, music, and entertainment industries. Her academic background began in biomedical engineering in 2013, where she developed an early interest in science, research, and human biology, before transitioning into a bachelor’s degree in Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management with a focus on communications and entertainment business.
Her path into menstrual and hormonal health education is deeply personal. After experiencing chronic pelvic pain and navigating a difficult diagnostic journey, she was eventually diagnosed with adenomyosis, a condition closely related to endometriosis. Following years of being told her symptoms were normal or inadequately addressed, she began independently researching her cycle and discovered fertility awareness-based methods. Initially skeptical, she and her partner learned these methods together, and over time she experienced significant personal transformation through their application. Motivated by her own healing journey, she became certified in fertility awareness and menstrual health education and began teaching small groups, eventually expanding her work as demand and impact grew.
Today, Eva is also a co-founder in the femtech space and works as a consultant with MIRA, a company specializing in at-home hormonal monitoring technology. In this role, she has trained more than 500 healthcare providers, including physicians, coaches, physical therapists, and wellness professionals, on integrating femtech tools into clinical and client care settings. Her work focuses on bridging the gap between patients and providers by improving access to accurate cycle and hormonal health education. Across all of her roles, she is committed to expanding awareness, reducing diagnostic delays, and ensuring more people have the knowledge and tools to understand and advocate for their reproductive health.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I would say my curiosity. I never stayed with what someone tells me. Like, I always want to speak it out for myself and see if it's true and prove it. So I would say that. And my desire to feel better. I feel like that's also what drives me. I don't want to feel bad anymore. And I don't want others to feel what I feel.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

To always stay true to what the heart is saying, and to your intuition. Like, women, we all have a very sharp intuition, and we sometimes try to silence that voice that's inside us and that's telling us things, and we know, but we still decide to live the other way. So I would just say listen to yourself and what your gut is telling you, and that's always the right way, even if it doesn't look like it in the future, you'll still understand why everything is happening. That's what happened to me when I switched majors, and now I'm like, okay, that makes sense.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Education is really what we're missing everywhere. Education about everything and what patients go through, both in diabetes and with endometriosis and other conditions. It's just education and options. We usually go to medical providers thinking they have the answers, and they might, but we also have the power of speaking for our own journey and seeking other answers, because maybe one person can't really know what you're actually feeling. I also feel like empathy is what's needed. People don't understand since they're not living it. Like, we have men who never menstruate, so they really don't have any idea, and I don't blame them. But yeah, just empathy with women and what we go through with our cycles. I feel like we need to sync the world to our cycles. The workplaces should be more aware of the cycle, and that women don't work as men, and have some flexibility. Like, for the endo patients that have a lot of pain, or just being able to say, okay, my first day of the cycle, I might not be able to work as much as the other days. We need more awareness about health in the workplace.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Empathy, honesty, compassion, creativity, gratitude, and justice. I'm a Libra, so justice is really important to me all the way.
