About Gail
Gail Tusman is an author, Christian ministry leader, and Bible teacher whose work is dedicated to helping believers deepen their understanding of Scripture through faith, fellowship, and biblical tradition. She recently published Jesus' Last Supper Cookbook: The What, Why, and How-To Guide to Host a Christian Passover Seder, a practical and educational resource that combines biblical teaching, family recipes, children's activities, and historical insights to help families celebrate a Christian Passover Seder. Her companion publication, The Christian Passover Seder Haggadah (coming soon), continues her mission of making the significance of Christ's final Passover accessible to readers of all ages. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Education from Northern Illinois University, Gail began her professional career as one of the first women field claims adjusters in the Chicago area. She later devoted many years to raising her family before returning to the insurance industry, where she worked as a First Notice of Loss (FNOL) adjuster until her retirement. Alongside her professional career, she remained deeply committed to Bible study and Christian service through her local church and Precept Ministries. Over the course of her 41-year marriage, she and her family hosted approximately 40 home Passover Seders, experiences that inspired her writing and ministry. Influenced by respected Bible teacher Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum of Ariel Ministries, Gail has developed a passion for helping Christians better understand the Jewish roots of their faith. Beyond her writing, Gail is actively involved in church hospitality ministry and has dedicated decades to volunteer service, including former work with the United Way of Greater St. Louis. She authored Sculpting Mary, Mother of the Church for The Wiegand Foundation Inc., and has supported numerous faith-based and community initiatives throughout her life. Gail views her books as both a legacy for her family and an outreach ministry to others. She attributes the successful completion of her manuscript to the Lord, whose guidance, love, and inspiration continue to shape her work, and encourages others to pursue the passions God places on their hearts with faith and perseverance.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the Lord and my faith that has guided my journey despite setbacks at times. Completing my manuscript was possible because of the passion God has placed in my heart for Passover. He has given me guidance and insights to inspire me to keep growing, serving others, and sharing my message with confidence.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Do what you enjoy and it won't feel like work.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
If it is your passion and what's in your heart, write, even if it’s just for you and no one else. Pursue your passion. You may be pleasantly surprised where it takes you.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field right now has been navigating the editing process to ensure my manuscript is polished and protected. Every detail matters—from spelling and capitalization to word choice and overall clarity—because those elements shape how the message is received. While it is a laborious process, it's also an opportunity to strengthen my work and ensure it reflects the quality, purpose, and heart behind what I've been called to share.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Truth, honesty, integrity, kindness, grace, and mercy. If I can increase in those attributes, I will be more like my Savior.

Life Isn’t Fair
“Life isn’t fair.” The universal complaint of all mankind. Someone else has an advantage that you do not have. Isn’t that the truth? But could that really be by God’s design?
Here is a riddle for Christians: In regard to knowing God, which of these three groups of people does God give an advantage to?
- The Gentiles
- The Jews
- The Rich
It is not the rich, for sure, because Scripture says:
“It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”
(Matthew 19:24; Mark 10:25)
The Gentiles? Wrong again. Romans chapter 3 teaches that the Jews are the ones who have the advantage, and that advantage is described as being “great in every respect.”
Their great advantage is because:
- (Verse 1) They have the benefit of being circumcised. That is, they were born Jewish and are part of Israel—the people group with whom God established a covenant to glorify Him.
- (Verse 2) They were entrusted with the oracles of God. These oracles refer to the Old Testament prophets through whom God spoke, as well as the Old Testament events through which His promises and provisions were revealed and experienced.
Given the high regard the apostle Paul had for Israel and the oracles entrusted to them by God, don’t you think there is something we can learn about God from them as well?
