Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my family, closest friends and colleagues who believed in me early on, the lessons learned through experience and my own resilience. I show up accountable, adaptable and willing to grow—and that mindset has made the biggest difference.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The most impactful advice I’ve received is that my life is my responsibility. Early in my career, I realized it’s easy to point to external circumstances when things don't go as planned. However, shifting from a mindset of blame to one of ownership changed everything. To me, this means taking full accountability for my results, my professional development and even my own work-life balance. By accepting that I am in the driver’s seat, I feel empowered to solve problems rather than wait for them to be fixed by others.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would encourage young women entering the field to stay persistent, ask questions without hesitation, and seek guidance from those around them. Especially in finance, where decisions aren’t always clear-cut, collaboration and learning from others are key to building confidence and long-term success.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One challenge is that Accounts Payable is often viewed as transactional, when in reality it’s strategic. As women in this field, we play a critical role in accuracy, compliance, and vendor relationships—and the opportunity is continuing to elevate AP as a key driver of efficiency.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity and growth are my core values. I believe in showing up authentically, doing what I say I’ll do and continuously learning. I’m motivated by work that has purpose and impact, while maintaining balance and treating people with respect.
