Her Story

About Glory

Glory Bee Costa is a seasoned Associate Broker and Team Leader with over 45 years of experience navigating the dynamic landscape of Maryland real estate. Based in St. Michaels, Maryland, she leads the GB Costa Team at Keller Williams Select Realtors — currently an eight-member group of full-time, experienced agents she personally assembled and continues to train through one-on-one coaching and hands-on role-playing exercises. Her team collectively brings decades of combined expertise to the table, providing clients with coverage seven days a week, including holidays — a necessity given the Eastern Shore's vibrant tourism-driven market. She holds multiple prestigious industry designations and operates with an unwavering commitment to representing either the buyer or the seller exclusively, never both, ensuring that every client receives her full and undivided advocacy. Her areas of expertise span waterfront and inland residential, multifamily, waterfront lots and land, and select commercial properties — including restaurants and hotels — across Maryland's Eastern and Western Shores, covering Talbot, Queen Anne's, Dorchester, Caroline, Somerset, Worcester, Wicomico, Kent, Anne Arundel and beyond. As a member of the Global Property Specialists network, her listings gain international visibility through the Worldwide Multi-List service, reaching potential buyers in 19 languages and across global luxury markets. Glory Bee's approach to client counsel is rooted in candour and market mastery — from property valuation and zoning regulations to contract negotiation and financing options. She built her reputation on telling clients the truth, even when it is not what they want to hear, believing that honest guidance consistently produces better outcomes than empty promises. What truly sets Glory Bee apart is the depth of the relationships she has cultivated throughout her long career. The majority of her business comes through referrals from past clients — a testament to the trust she has earned and the results she consistently delivers. She is also the founder in 1987 and Broker/Owner of GB Costa's Realty. This referral-based brokerage extends her professional network and ensures agents can refer clients to qualified agents and earn a referral fee, which is beyond her direct scope of service. As a featured honoree in Influential Woman Magazine, Glory Bee's influence reaches well beyond the transaction table. Whether working with first-time buyers or seasoned investors, she brings the same level of passion, professionalism, and purpose that has defined her career from the very beginning.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Glory

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to always being outspoken, honest, and upfront with my clients. If I know I cannot get a seller the price they are hoping for, I will tell them directly rather than take the listing and leave them disappointed. That level of transparency has been the foundation of everything I have built.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Never give up. If you want it badly enough and put in the time and work required, you will succeed. Listen and pay attention, you will learn a lot. Help others succeed, and it comes back to you. Take every continuing education class you can pertaining to your profession.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My strongest advice is to invest in hands-on, practical training from the very beginning. Go out in the field with experienced agents, observe real transactions, and practice role-playing to prepare yourself for objections and negotiations. Do not rely solely on what a broker hands you in an orientation packet — push for real, one-on-one guidance. The more you immerse yourself in actual situations early on, the more confident and effective you will become. Take every class you can.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the most significant challenges I see in real estate today is the lack of adequate training being provided to new agents. Brokers and owners often do not dedicate the time or structure needed to properly prepare someone entering the business. On top of that, as our market includes a wide range of clients — including older buyers and sellers — there is a growing need to thoughtfully blend modern technology with the more traditional, relationship-based expectations many of them have.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Honesty is the value I hold above all others, both professionally and personally. I truly believe that being honest will take you anywhere you want to go in life and in business. It is the cornerstone of every client relationship I have built throughout my career. Integrity, I treat everyone I deal with the same. What I do for one, I do for all.
