Her Interview

Ten minutes with Heather

01What do you attribute your success to?

I've had good mentors along the way that helped guide me. I've generally been pretty driven, always had a goal in mind, focused on that and worked towards it.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Be compassionate for the ones that you work with. You never really know what everybody's going through, so show people compassion.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Find other women to connect with, because finding those mentors and connections will get you pretty far.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The dental industry is evolving pretty rapidly. Keeping up with that market has been really interesting. A lot of corporate-owned dentist offices are behind more and more every day, and meeting their needs is a lot different than just a private practice owner. That's definitely been a challenge to keep up with and make sure we're providing everything we need to for our customers.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Work hard, that gets you really far in life. Work hard but also have time for fun, set some healthy boundaries and take some time to enjoy life as well. Can't be all about work.
