Holly Mitchell Larez

I've been in the multifamily housing industry for 13 years, and I can honestly say I've worked my way up from the very beginning. I started cleaning apartments and doing minor maintenance, then moved into leasing, became a leasing manager, then a system manager, and eventually a property manager, which is the role I've been in for the past 2 years. Every day is different - I start my mornings with staff meetings to get everybody on the right foot, then I meet with my maintenance supervisor to go over anything they need outside of our office building. From there, I process rents, make resident calls, and handle a lot of renewals, move-outs, and walking units. It's fast-paced and you never know what's going to happen, but that's what has kept me in the industry - there's never a dull moment. I'm currently enrolled full-time at BYU Pathways working toward my business management degree while working full-time, because to get further in my career, I need education. My goal is to move into asset management or project management within multifamily housing.
