Inga Dolinski, MS, MB(ASCP), is a laboratory manager and the recently promoted Director of Laboratory Services at ExtendingME, an early-stage startup specializing in personalized wellness and longevity care. With a strong foundation in molecular genetics and preventative medicine, she manages day-to-day laboratory operations, ensures compliance, develops test menus, and provides hands-on education to healthcare providers on how to use the company’s portal and interpret genetic results. Her work focuses on translating complex genetic information into actionable insights, helping patients understand their unique health blueprint and make informed decisions about preventative care.

Inga’s passion for genetics began early, growing up on a farm where she raised rabbits. At age 13, she participated in a genetic sampling study with Cornell University, sparking her lifelong interest in molecular biology. She honed her laboratory skills through undergraduate research in genotyping with Dr. Zhu and later gained extensive experience in clinical laboratory operations during the COVID-19 pandemic, including PCR, viral genotyping, blood chemistry, hematology, and microbiology. Her career has consistently combined hands-on laboratory expertise with education, ensuring that both providers and patients can leverage scientific data to improve health outcomes.

Inga holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Diagnostics from Arizona State University, where she excelled academically and contributed to curriculum development. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Health Sciences at Campbell University, where she serves as cohort president. Certified by the ASCP, she is recognized for her leadership, technical proficiency, and ability to navigate the fast-paced, multifaceted environment of startup laboratory operations. Through her work, Inga champions personalized medicine, preventative diagnostics, and patient-focused education, making her a trusted voice in the growing field of longevity and precision health.v

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to acknowledging that I am a career student and just being aware that the more you know, the more you realize you don't know. It's about maintaining this attitude of serving in leadership. I really just try to excel in everything that I put my heart to, and I would say that educationally, that's really where I'm the strongest - in my education. I'm a student for life. I do assistant teaching, I write curriculum for a master's program, and I'm a student myself in a doctorate program. That's kind of why I really focus on the education that our panels provide, and that's really why I stand behind the mission of my company. When I get a step forward, I'm like, hey everybody, let's move a step forward together.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is: 'Being a good manager is doing things right; being a good leader is doing the right things.' To me, this means that while you can excel at your tasks and be a strong contributor, true leadership comes from driving innovation, creating meaningful value for clients, and developing outcome-focused solutions that deliver exceptional service."

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field is that genetics is still poorly understood by many patients and even some healthcare providers, which creates a strong need for improved education and awareness. At the same time, there’s a tremendous opportunity to integrate personalized genetic information into preventative medicine, enabling us to design interventions that improve health outcomes at both the individual and community levels.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are lifelong learning, education, and leadership through service. I strive to bring colleagues forward with me, celebrating shared progress and fostering a sense of community. I also value curiosity and humility—the more you know, the more you realize there is to learn. Outside of work, I’m passionate about staying active and connected to nature through gardening, cooking, painting, and outdoor activities. I’m also an animal lover, having grown up with rabbits and currently caring for ducks, which keeps me grounded and connected to the simple joys in life.
