Jacinda Mitchell, MBA

Jacinda Mitchell, MBA, is a healthcare leader with more than 20 years of progressive experience spanning population health, clinical quality, value-based care, healthcare technology, and patient safety. As Director of Quality & Patient Safety with Ascension Medical Group Texas, she leads strategic performance and population health initiatives across a multi-site ambulatory network. Her work focuses on aligning quality metrics, care management, payer contracts, and operational strategies to improve patient outcomes, enhance the patient experience, and support financial performance.

Throughout her career, Jacinda has developed deep expertise in value-based care, quality improvement, risk adjustment, HEDIS, MIPS, care-gap closure, utilization management, and shared-savings strategies. She has led interdisciplinary teams involving care managers, community health workers, behavioral health specialists, pharmacists, and clinical operations professionals, while partnering with analytics teams and payers to translate data into meaningful improvements. Earlier in her career, she worked in clinical informatics and healthcare technology, supporting electronic health record implementations, workflow improvements, clinical documentation, and patient-care systems.

Jacinda’s leadership foundation was shaped by her extensive military medical experience with the U.S. Air Force and Department of the Army, where she served in roles involving emergency medical technician training, clinical systems education, and medical sustainment. She holds an MBA in Health Services Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University and a B.S. in Technology Management from DeVry University. Across her career, Jacinda has remained committed to advancing healthcare quality, strengthening care delivery, and using data, technology, and collaboration to create better outcomes for patients and the communities they serve.
