Jade Pablo, MPA

Jade Pablo, MPA, is an Indigenous scholar and Native American Education Program Advisor with the Sunnyside Unified School District in Tucson, Arizona. In her role, she supports Native American students across four schools, connecting them with academic assistance, transportation, and other resources while creating opportunities for students to express and strengthen their Indigenous identity. Having grown up in the same school district, Jade was inspired by the Native American advisors who supported her during her own education, motivating her to pursue a career dedicated to empowering Indigenous youth.

Jade’s academic and professional background brings together criminal justice, public administration, and higher education. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Arizona, followed by a Master of Public Administration, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Higher Education. Her work explores Indigenous student success, institutional policy, equity, sovereignty, and culturally grounded approaches to education. Before joining the school district, she served as a Community Impact Specialist with the United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona through AmeriCorps Public Allies and previously gained experience in juvenile probation and community service.

At the center of Jade’s work is a commitment to representation, mentorship, and community. She views storytelling as a way to reclaim narratives and education as a pathway toward healing, empowerment, and opportunity. Through advocacy, speaking, collaboration, and youth mentorship, she works to ensure Indigenous students feel seen, supported, and capable of becoming leaders while maintaining their cultural identity. As she continues her doctoral journey, Jade is also working toward her long-term goal of serving as a tribal liaison and helping strengthen educational access, policy, and opportunities for tribal communities.
