Ten minutes with Jaime

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to hard work, gratitude, and the ability to build meaningful relationships. Throughout my career, I have focused on creating genuine connections, supporting the people around me, and recognizing the importance of collaboration and trust. I care deeply about the members and clients I serve, and I believe success is achieved when we help others succeed as well. By staying committed, remaining grateful, and consistently investing in the success of those around me, I have been able to grow both personally and professionally.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have received is to always remember the person behind every interaction. Everyone I work with has their own ideas, perspectives, experiences, and feelings, and approaching each conversation with empathy and understanding creates stronger relationships. Taking the time to listen, recognize where others are coming from, and understand their needs has helped me build trust, communicate more effectively, and provide meaningful support throughout my career.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the industry is to believe in their abilities, recognize their value, and never allow intimidation to limit their potential. Women bring unique strengths, perspectives, and leadership qualities that make a meaningful impact in the workplace. Speak up, share your ideas, advocate for yourself, and continue moving forward even when challenges arise. Confidence, perseverance, and the courage to use your voice are essential to creating opportunities and achieving success.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I believe the healthcare industry presents both significant challenges and incredible opportunities, especially as organizations navigate increasing complexity, evolving technology, and changing member needs. I see a tremendous opportunity for women to lead through expertise, collaboration, and compassionate service. Professionals who combine strong technical knowledge with empathy, communication, and relationship-building skills will continue to play a vital role in improving healthcare experiences and creating meaningful outcomes for clients and members. While women may still encounter challenges as they pursue leadership opportunities, I believe confidence, resilience, and continuous growth are essential for success. By remaining committed to lifelong learning, advocating for those we serve, and leading with integrity, we can continue shaping the future of healthcare while ensuring compassion remains at the center of every decision.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are family, integrity, honesty, trust, authenticity, empathy, and having a strong moral compass. I strive to lead with kindness, respect, and compassion in every interaction, whether I am supporting clients, collaborating with colleagues, or serving my community. My connection to both healthcare and agriculture has strengthened my appreciation for the importance of caring for others, including people, animals, and the environment around us. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, spending time with animals, and helping manage my family farm, which provides balance and perspective in my life. I believe true success is measured not only by professional achievements but also by the positive impact we have on others through compassion, service, and staying true to our values.
