I attribute my success to God, whose guidance and grace have carried me through every challenge and season of my life. My journey has been shaped by resilience, faith, and the experiences I have gained through my work in entertainment, advocacy, and ministry. Overcoming significant health challenges and personal hardships, including experiences with non-physical abuse, has strengthened my purpose and deepened my commitment to supporting others. These experiences have inspired me to use my voice to raise awareness, advocate for trauma survivors, and empower individuals to find healing, hope, and strength through their own journeys.

The best career advice I have ever received is to use my story, experiences, and voice as a catalyst for positive change. My personal journey through non-physical abuse, health challenges, and overcoming heart cancer has shown me the importance of addressing difficult issues with compassion, love, and hope. I have learned that true impact comes from creating awareness, advocating for systemic change, and helping others recognize the lasting effects of trauma. Through my work as an author, I share difficult topics through poetry and storytelling, while my involvement with Live to Give of Heaven Ministries allows me to support trauma-informed recognition and advocacy. I believe that by bringing these conversations forward and supporting initiatives like the Tyra Act, we can create greater understanding, healing, and meaningful change for survivors.

My advice to young women entering my industry is to trust in God’s guidance, embrace their unique journey, and recognize the power of their voice and purpose. My experiences as a UCLA graduate in mass communications, a minister ordained through Joan Hunter Ministries, and a student pursuing advanced studies in healing, deliverance, and spiritual warfare have taught me the importance of faith, resilience, and compassion. Through my own health journey, including navigating thyroid cancer and ongoing heart cancer challenges, I have learned the value of being informed, seeking wisdom, and making personal decisions aligned with one’s beliefs and convictions. I encourage young women to lead with courage, stay committed to their calling, and use their experiences to inspire, serve, and create meaningful change in the lives of others.

The biggest opportunity in my field right now is being able to share my story and reach as many people as possible. Through my experiences, I have seen the importance of creating awareness, offering hope, and helping others who may be navigating trauma, health challenges, or difficult seasons in their lives. My goal is to use my voice, advocacy, and platform to inspire healing, encourage meaningful conversations, and empower others to recognize that they are not alone. By continuing to share my journey with authenticity and compassion, I hope to make a lasting impact and help transform lives.

The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are faith, compassion, resilience, authenticity, and service. My journey in the entertainment industry since 2000 as an actor, speaker, and philanthropic spokesperson has taught me the importance of using my platform to inspire and uplift others. After taking a four-and-a-half-year break to focus on my health, including navigating heart cancer, thyroid cancer, and a traumatic brain injury, I gained a deeper appreciation for the power of perseverance, healing, and purpose. Today, I am committed to advocating for trauma survivors, especially those affected by non-physical abuse and coercive control patterns, while using my experiences to bring awareness, hope, and support to others. As I return to entertainment, my mission is to help rescue the lost, heal the hurting, and create positive change through my voice and story.
