Janel Beidel, LCSW

Janel Beidel is a licensed clinical social worker and the owner and therapist of Reclaiming You, PLLC, where she provides therapy for adults experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, emotional pain, and the effects of past trauma. With a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Lancaster Bible College and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Denver, Janel has built a career centered on helping people heal, grow, and thrive. She is also an EMDRIA Certified Therapist and has more than two decades of experience across clinical social work, case management, program development, and community-focused work.

Janel’s professional journey reflects her passion for creating meaningful change. She previously worked in behavioral health, served as a Performance and Policy Analyst for the Colorado Department of Human Services, taught at the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social Work, and helped establish Bridge of Hope Greater Denver. Her work with Bridge of Hope included organizational development, fundraising, community partnerships, volunteer training, and supporting families experiencing homelessness. Across these roles, Janel has remained committed to creating a safe and compassionate space where people can better understand themselves, heal from difficult experiences, and move forward with greater confidence.

Outside of her professional life, Janel loves expressing her creativity through photography, especially portraits, landscapes, and wildlife. She also has a passion for cooking and baking and enjoys investing in her relationships by sharing coffee, taking walks, doing puzzles, hiking, and simply spending time with friends and loved ones. She feels most at home in nature, whether basking in the sun or enjoying the water. Janel also loves to sing—she describes herself as the person you might see singing along in her car—and enjoys being actively involved in her local church. These interests reflect the warmth, creativity, connection, and zest for life that she brings to both her personal relationships and her work with others.
