Her Story

About Janet

Janet Hudson is a retired Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with more than 42 years of experience in healthcare, a proud Air Force veteran, and a passionate health and wellness advocate. Her journey in nursing began with a commitment to serving others, which led her to join the United States Air Force, earn her advanced degree in nurse anesthesia, and serve as a CRNA during her 13 years of active-duty military service. During her time in the Air Force, Janet supported critical care efforts and deployed during Desert Storm, an experience that profoundly shaped her life and later influenced her personal search for solutions to ongoing health challenges.

After retiring from her clinical nursing career, Janet transitioned into the health and wellness space, where she has spent more than four years helping others explore wellness-focused approaches and lifestyle improvements. Her own journey with chronic health concerns following her military service led her to discover LifeWave technology, which became a turning point in her personal wellness journey and inspired her to share what she learned with others. As a wellness speaker and community builder, Janet focuses on educating people about health, vitality, and proactive approaches to improving quality of life while creating a supportive community centered around purpose and service.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Janet remains deeply committed to serving others through leadership, volunteerism, and community involvement. She serves on the boards of the Rocky Top Veterans Foundation and Joy of Dawn and continues to support initiatives that uplift others. In her free time, Janet enjoys hiking, kayaking, Bible study, and book clubs. Guided by faith, compassion, and a lifelong dedication to helping people, she continues to inspire others through her story of resilience, service, and transformation.

Ten minutes with Janet

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the strong work ethic my father instilled in me and the unwavering support I have received from my husband. The values of discipline, dedication, and perseverance have guided me throughout my journey. Having a strong support system has also been instrumental in helping me continue to grow, pursue my goals, and overcome challenges along the way.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have received is to love what you do. Before committing to a career path, take the time to learn, explore, and shadow professionals in the field to ensure it aligns with your interests and strengths. Passion and purpose are important foundations for long-term success.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to be intentional about identifying what you want to pursue and remain committed to that vision. Believe in yourself, stay focused, and do not allow others to discourage you from following your goals. Your determination and confidence will help you create your own path.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in the health and wellness industry is mindset—specifically, maintaining a positive, service-oriented approach and genuinely enjoying working with people. Building relationships requires persistence, especially when developing brand partnerships. While gaining customers may be achievable, creating strong partnerships requires consistency, resilience, and the ability to approach opportunities with an open and confident mindset.

At the same time, there are significant opportunities emerging as industries continue to evolve with advancements in AI and robotics. Workforce changes are creating a greater need for new skills and opportunities, and our business provides the training, support, and processes necessary to help individuals adapt and succeed.
