Her Story

About Jessica

I've been a massage therapist for 15 years, and I truly feel like my purpose in life is to help people. This career gives me a way to do it in a healing fashion. I'm not only healing body, mind, and soul, but I'm also like a therapist for real. We've had crying sessions, I've given advice, and I allow women and men to be vulnerable in a safe place, knowing that a person really cares to listen. The feeling afterwards, to see that I did something and hear the 'thank you so much' means a lot to me. That's what has kept me going, because it's physically hard at times for our own bodies, but to sacrifice to help someone else is what I feel like the world needs. I'm a single mother of four, and I haven't let anything stop me from accomplishing my goals. I've been homeless 7 times and I'm currently homeless right now, but you just keep going no matter what. I was able to still accomplish getting 3 jobs within 2 months and got my license, and I had to fight to get it. You have to understand that every test and trial has something in there that's going to help you grow within it. I've lost everything 7 times, I gained it back, and I'm going to gain it back again. My mom died of COVID I haven't experienced a lot of support at all. It's been most of me doing everything by myself with God. Me and God have created such a strong relationship, and I don't see anything negative. I don't take back nothing that I have went through, because it honestly molded me to be such a strong person. Us women go through so much, and we are connected in so many ways. There's no excuses on showing up and doing your job and being there for somebody else, because you never know what impact that has on somebody else's life. We need to help each other, to love on each other instead of pouring out hate, because you never know what people go through. No judgment. Just being free to be yourself and knowing that somebody's there to love on you through whatever field you're in. I recently relocated from Florida to Houston, Texas to establish myself here and help people. I also got my investment license with Primerica and became a Division Leader, because I want to help people transform their lives financially. That's another way to help people, especially in my community. I'm from the hood, and we don't get to have those types of conversations. Learning how to manage money, understanding Roth IRAs, investment portfolios, bonds and stocks, and being able to communicate that with all people to help them not have a poor mindset but to have a millionaire mindset matters. If I can do anything, it's to be a positive light for others. I feel like God created me to be some type of motivational speaker, to pour into people's lives. You would think I would have such a negative attitude or my heart would be cold because of how much betrayal and things I have been through with people, but the love of people never died in me. The impact of touching somebody in a positive way, whether it's praying for them, whether it's speaking life into them, whether it's sowing a seed into their life, that would be one of my greatest things.
