Her Interview
Ten minutes with Jessica
01What do you attribute your success to?
I would probably say my work ethic. Working hard, my boss for trusting me with his company, and definitely family, my wife and two kids they are important to me, so we all need that support system.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Work hard. That's probably the best advice I've ever received, amy papaw, JR Farmer, when I was younger, he would take me to the table and we would discuss finances and how to save, how to invest.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would say lock in, and put in the work, and build the relationships, and just be yourself. Don't try to be somebody you're not. I learned to be a better woman from my mom. She always worked hard to make sure we had everything we needed and then some!
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
There's always challenges in this field, especially in the area that I'm in. You know, there's a lot of insurance companies around here, and we just have to set ourselves apart from our competition. And then, opportunity, I would say with insurance, there's always opportunity.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Work ethic is a huge value. But always putting God and family first followed by Honesty and loyalty.
