01What do you attribute your success to?

 My success is attributed to a blend of deep subject passion, effective teaching skills, genuine care for students, continuous learning, and impactful research, often combining expertise with empathy, clear communication, and resilience to challenge and support student growth. Key factors include a missionary sense for teaching, adaptability, strong mentor relationships, and the ability to make complex topics understandable, all while maintaining personal well-being. 

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

focusing on your strengths, continuous learning, taking initiative, and advocating for yourself,with memorable quotes like "Don't try to impress your professors, try to impress your future self" or "Focus on maximizing your strengths and creating environments where these strengths can shine". Professors also emphasize embracing imperfection, starting before you're ready, and being kind and resourceful, highlighting that growth comes from stepping outside comfort zones and proactively managing your career path. 

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

As a professor, the field is currently shaped by significant challenges in funding and workload, alongside major opportunities to leverage technology like AI and focus on workforce development. 

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

As a professor, core values in work and life often center on passion for learning, integrity, student success, and respect for others, creating a blend where professional dedication to subject and teaching meets personal ethics and empathy, with strong interconnectivity between a healthy personal life and effective professional performance. Key professional values include deep subject knowledge, effective communication, fairness, adaptability, and fostering critical thinking, while personal values emphasize kindness, healthy boundaries, and continuous self-improvement, all supporting a fulfilling career.
