Her Interview
Ten minutes with Jessica
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to tenacity, faith, self-belief, and hard work. My mother, who successfully operated several businesses, taught me from an early age that entrepreneurship requires resilience, discipline, and the willingness to keep moving forward even when circumstances are difficult. As a single mother, I have also learned to turn challenges into opportunities for growth and to remain committed to both my family and my goals. My journey with Clutter Cleaners Services has taught me to value my work, believe in the quality I provide, and never undervalue the time, professionalism, and care behind my services. Above all, my faith and determination have given me the strength to persevere, serve others with integrity, and continue building a business that creates opportunities and makes a positive difference in people’s lives.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received came from my mother: know your worth and never undervalue what you provide. That lesson has shaped the way I price my services, manage my business, and recognize the value of my work as an entrepreneur. I’ve also learned to believe in myself, especially during challenging seasons when circumstances can make success feel uncertain. My journey has taught me that difficult chapters do not define my future; they can strengthen my resilience, deepen my faith, and reveal capabilities I may not have known I possessed. I believe in continuing to move forward, trusting the process, and remembering that every challenge can become an opportunity to grow, learn, and build something better.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise young women entering my industry to believe in themselves and their vision, even when others may not see the possibilities yet. Entrepreneurship comes with difficult days, unexpected setbacks, and moments of doubt, but those challenges can also become opportunities to grow stronger, more confident, and more resilient. Stay grounded in your faith, know your worth, and never allow temporary circumstances to determine your long-term potential. Start where you are, be willing to learn along the way, and understand that consistency can build something remarkable over time. Most importantly, lead by example and let the people watching your journey, especially your children, see what is possible when education, perseverance, entrepreneurship, faith, and self-belief come together.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenges in the cleaning industry today are maintaining consistent quality, trust, and professionalism while scaling, particularly as a business grows beyond its founder and expands its team or enters new markets. At the same time, I see tremendous opportunities as homeowners, commercial property managers, real estate professionals, and short-term rental operators continue to seek dependable cleaning partners who deliver thorough, high-quality results. As I move Clutter Cleaners Services into its next chapter of growth and franchising, I have an opportunity to expand the standards and service philosophy that built my reputation, create meaningful employment opportunities, develop strong leaders, and bring reliable, professional cleaning services to new communities.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my personal and professional life are faith, family, trust, integrity, and service. I believe that when people trust Clutter Cleaners Services with their homes, businesses, and personal spaces, I have a responsibility to honor that trust through reliability, attention to detail, professionalism, and uncompromising standards. For me, true success goes beyond financial growth; it means providing for my children, creating opportunities for others, inspiring the people around me to believe in their potential, and making a positive impact in my community. At the heart of everything I do is my personal mission to make at least one person smile every day.
