What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to resilience, consistency, and the ability to build genuine relationships. Throughout my career I've always been willing to work hard, adapt and step outside of my comfort zone to create opportunities for myself and others. Truly believing success comes from showing up consistently, treating people well and being passionate about what you do. A large part of my success also comes from my creativity and my ability to connect with people. Marketing is not just about selling something, it's about understanding people, building trust, and creating experiences that leave an impact. Whether I'm helping a business grow its brand organizing an event for the community, I put my heart into everything I do. Most importantly, I contribute my success to perseverance. Even during challenging seasons, I stayed focused on my goals, trust in my vision, and contributed pushing forward. Taking the leap to build bombshell marketing and events taught me that growth comes from leaving in yourself, being willing to take a risk, and never giving up on your purpose
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
It's okay to hear no. And another one is turn the no into a yes. Those are the best pieces of career advice I've ever received. I've learned that hearing no is part of the journey, and the key is not letting it stop you but instead finding a way to turn that no into a yes.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Do it. Don't hesitate, don't let somebody tell you no, don't listen to the naysayers, just do it. Take the risk. That's the advice I would give to women entering my industry. You can't let fear or other people's doubts hold you back. If you have the passion and the drive, you need to go for it and not let anyone stop you.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I feel like the opportunities are endless, because there are a lot of people out there that know content and social media and all that stuff. There are a lot of people that just either don't know it, or they don't want to hire a full-time person. So there's a lot of opportunity. But at the same time, that is a blessing and a curse, right? Because a lot of people know it. So you have to differentiate yourself from everybody else. You have to figure out what you offer that's different and stand out from the competition.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
My Christian values are most important to me, knowing that I do have a purpose and being an influence not only to others, but I have a son. My Christian faith, and relying on that, and just honesty and integrity are core to everything I do. I look at my son and know that he is proud of me and that I'm somebody he looks up to. I want to make sure that when he leaves this house every day, he is the best person because of how I've raised him. When I walk out this door, I'm not only representing myself, but I'm representing myself as a businesswoman and a mother, and I need to be somebody that people trust and people want to work with.
