Jill DePompei-Morales is the Founder and President of 3DEEPCOACHING, LLC, an independent coaching and leadership development firm based in Salt Lake City, Utah. As a mind-body coach, she partners with executives, athletes, and teams to unlock sustainable high performance, blending athletic instincts with executive clarity. Jill emphasizes presence, authenticity, trust-building, and purpose-driven work, guiding clients along a purposeful path rather than a pursuit of titles. She actively engages in business development, pilot programs, and one-to-one coaching while integrating AI tools to streamline front-end processes.

With more than 25 years of experience in HR and organizational development, Jill’s career spans roles as an HR business partner in financial services and energy, culminating in senior positions including Chief People Officer. A mid-career shift toward leadership and organizational development led her to coaching, following her departure from Chevron and her certification as a professional coach. At eBay, she designed a comprehensive teaming approach that has become a cornerstone of her team-based coaching practice, influencing how leaders and teams collaborate and perform at their best.

Jill holds a B.A. in Psychology from San Francisco State University and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University. She is a Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner and an Executive Coach certification candidate with the International Coaching Federation. In addition to running 3DEEPCOACHING, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Youth Sports Science Institute, advancing programs that integrate mind, body, and emotional awareness to develop confident, capable young leaders. Across her work, Jill is committed to cultivating leadership, resilience, and meaningful performance in both individuals and organizations.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

She attributes her success to showing up authentically, which helps her build trust quickly and leverage natural gifts for leadership and helping others see strengths they may not see in themselves. She also has a tremendous amount of grit. She believes hard work and persistence can outpace raw talent if channeled correctly.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Do not try to wear more than two hats at one time. I have a bias toward execution and I found myself trying to play too many “roles” early in my career. When you are focused and disciplined, the results will follow.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be purpose-driven: you don't need to move up to move forward. Seek joy through purpose rather than chasing prestige, money, or power. Support other women and help change environments that limit each other.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The market is very saturated; coaches must clearly differentiate what makes their work unique and why clients need it. AI is an opportunity to take on routine, time-consuming tasks so coaches can focus on presence and high-value work, but AI can't replace the human coaching relationship. AI fills the gaps, but only coaches can truly hold the space.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity, collaboration, authenticity, and presence.
