Her Interview
Ten minutes with Jodi
01What do you attribute your success to?
My children have been my greatest motivation. They’ve kept me focused, inspired me to stay on the right path, and pushed me to work hard every day to make sure they’re well cared for while we continue to grow and thrive together.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Don't become so absorbed in my position that I forget about the people. My now retired manager Kevin M would always tell the team this and I Make sure I look out for my people because my people are the ones that's going to hold me up. Always stay engaged and be respectful.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't give up. Whatever you need to do to make yourself better and more knowledgeable, do it even if it's uncomfortable. Keep going and keep striving because you're going to make it. Stay focused and be comfortable with the uncomfortable.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Biggest challenge is expressing myself freely in a male-dominated field where my voice isn't always heard and understood the way that it’s suppose to be. One of the biggest opportunities is being able to build connections with individuals of various backgrounds both professionally and personally.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity and having a growth mindset especially when working within an innovative company. Good communication and understanding is key.
