Her Story
About Kajal
My career path started when I graduated with my master's degree in project management, and I began working with a strong interest in business operations, coordination, and problem solving, which led me towards project management and operations-focused roles. After completing my master's with a GPA of 3.9, I worked in operations, coordination, and project coordinator roles at Salesforce, which was my very latest job. I coordinated a global enablement program and supported cross-functional teams across multiple work teams. In my typical day at Salesforce, I coordinated across multiple teams, managing project timelines and ensuring that deliverables stayed on track. I coordinated the global enablement team logistics for Salesforce's 75,000 employees, managing ongoing training for their success. I would usually start my day by reviewing priorities, project trackers, and stakeholder updates to make sure all the work was aligned. Before that, I worked at the Commonwealth, a humanitarian organization just like the United Nations, where I helped manage international events. I also helped manage a few events during the 2025 UN General Assembly and was involved with the operations team across more than 50 countries during that role. Currently, I'm continuing to grow in project coordination while also pursuing my MBA, which I just started online. My long-term goal is to move into leadership and strategic operation roles where I can drive organizational impact while also mentoring and supporting other women to pursue their ambitious career paths.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I ever received came from my manager who worked at Salesforce for over 17 years. She told me to never underestimate the value of consistency and self-belief. She said growth doesn't always happen overnight, which is very true, and many opportunities come from continuing to show up, learn, and stay committed, even during difficult phases. I reflect on that a lot when I want to give up or something is very difficult for me to follow. I just remember this advice, that the value of consistency and self-belief, you should never underestimate.
