Kasturi holds a Master’s degree in Sociology from the University of Mumbai, earned in 2004, as well as a second master’s degree in Advertising and Marketing completed in 2007. She is a certified coach through an ICF-accredited coaching program and brings together her background in product management, communication, and coaching to empower others. Her Interview

Ten minutes with Kasturi

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to staying true to who I am and embracing my work as an authentic reflection of my values and purpose. For me, this is not simply a business or an option; it is a way of life that allows me to express who I truly am. Walking away from it would mean stepping away from a part of myself, and that commitment is what continues to motivate me, inspire me, and push me forward. I believe that when people align their actions with who they genuinely are and what they truly value, success naturally follows.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have ever received is to choose my battles wisely. I have learned the importance of recognizing which challenges are truly worth pursuing and identifying the issues that align with my core values and priorities. Not every disagreement or uncomfortable situation requires a response or a fight. Understanding the difference between the battles that matter most and those that can be approached with flexibility has helped me become a more thoughtful, effective, and resilient professional.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering my industry is to pursue coaching because they genuinely believe in the mission and purpose behind the work. Success comes from authenticity, commitment, and a true passion for making an impact, not from following trends or seeking recognition. The most fulfilling and sustainable careers are built when you stay connected to your values, remain dedicated to your purpose, and focus on creating meaningful change for the people you serve.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is helping people, especially women, recognize the value of investing in themselves and their personal growth. While executives, leaders, and public figures often utilize coaches to support their development and success, the broader understanding of coaching as a valuable resource has not yet fully reached everyday individuals. Many women still hesitate to prioritize themselves and invest in their own growth, and I see a significant opportunity to change that mindset by empowering women to recognize their potential and embrace the support they need to thrive.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are authenticity, self-expression, and empowerment. I believe in staying true to who I am, having the freedom and confidence to share my thoughts and perspectives, and respecting that differences of opinion are a natural and valuable part of growth. I strongly believe that empowered women empower women, and more broadly, that empowered people empower others. True empowerment begins within, and only those who embrace their own strength and confidence can genuinely support and uplift those around them.
