Sessoms began her professional journey as an entrepreneur, launching and operating a custom print business that, despite its eventual failure, became a defining learning experience in resilience, adaptability, and sound business judgment. She later spent five years in the technology sector, advancing from inbound sales to senior solutions consulting before creating and leading a go-to-market strategy for the sports and entertainment vertical. In these roles, she successfully combined product best practices with customer needs, helping enterprise organizations streamline operations while building long-term, value-driven relationships. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Psychology and previously served on the Durham Board of Young Professionals.
