What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my education, on-the-job experience, great mentors and wonderful team dynamics, strong collaboration skills, and my eagerness to always keep learning.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to learn from others and treat others with kindness because empathy goes a long way and it's one of the most memorable attributes people remember. We're not always given an insight to what another person is going through, so a bit of sincere kindness from you to them can go a long way.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to not be afraid to try different things. And it's okay to not have everything figured out. Just keep showing progress in whatever directions you want to explore. Lastly, we're in this together so root for each other.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the challenges I face is trying to help as many businesses and clients as possible while also getting the word out and ensuring my work is seen.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I value making time to focus on what’s important to me, especially my own physical/mental/spiritual health. My special interests include spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, adding to my tea collection, trying new food, listening to podcasts that expand my perspective of the world and spirituality or are just plain fun to listen to (i.e. Good Hang with Amy Poehler).
