Her Story, The Gathering Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women and families impacted by trauma, abuse, and life-altering challenges. Through storytelling, education, faith-centered encouragement, and community-based support, we create safe spaces where healing can begin and voices can be restored. Our mission is to help individuals recognize their strength, reclaim their identity, and move forward with purpose by connecting them to resources, supportive networks, and transformative conversations. What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to God’s grace, unwavering faith, and the strength He has given me to persevere through every season.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received was to trust God with my path and do the work with excellence, doors will open in the right season.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Learn the work thoroughly, ask questions without apology, and build credibility through consistency. Your knowledge and integrity will speak for you long before your title does.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges I’m currently facing in my industry is securing consistent sponsorship and financing, particularly when advocating for opportunities that center on supporting and uplifting women. While the need is significant and the impact is measurable, aligning funding priorities with mission-driven work focused on women’s empowerment remains an ongoing hurdle. However, my biggest opportunity is continue to push in expanding strategic partnerships and sponsorships that align with our mission to support and empower women, allowing us to scale programs, increase access to resources, and deepen our community impact.”
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are faith, integrity, resilience, and service. I believe in leading with purpose, honoring my commitments, and showing up consistently with compassion and excellence. These values guide how I build relationships, make decisions, and create impact, both professionally and personally.
