Kellie Reiter is a seasoned retail leader with nearly three decades of experience at Ralphs Grocery Company in Compton California. Beginning her career as a couresty clerk in 1999, Kellie has steadily advanced within the company and currently serves as a Store Manager, overseeing daily operations, team performance, and customer experience. She is known for her strong leadership, adaptability, and hands-on approach, which have been instrumental in managing complex projects such as digital shelf label installations across multiple stores. Kellie’s educational background includes an Associate of Arts in General Studies from Chaffey College and a Retail Management Certificate (WAFC) from Cerritos College, reflecting her commitment to professional development and excellence in retail management. Her combination of practical experience and formal training enables her to guide her teams effectively while ensuring operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Beyond her professional achievements, Kellie values family and community. She is a dedicated parent, supporting causes related to autism, and enjoys spending quality time with her dogs. What do you attribute your success to?
Not willing to fail. Always wanting to give my familY what I didn’t have. Even when an out come didn’t go my way. I would pivot and figure out what I needed to do to move up.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the retail grocery industry is to work hard, maintain a healthy work-life balance, not take things personally, and seek support from a partner or mentor along the way.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Always being able to pivot when new things come to help processes in the store.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in work and life are family, teamwork, and compassion, which we practice through activities like escape rooms and caring for our rescue dogs and cats.
