Kelly Flanagan is an Account Executive in the automotive safety and compliance industry, specializing in dealership-focused software solutions that support HR, EHS, F&I, privacy, and regulatory safeguards. In her role, she manages full-cycle sales including prospecting, client engagement, product demonstrations, pipeline forecasting, and contract execution. She works closely with automotive decision-makers to identify operational challenges and implement compliance systems that improve efficiency and reduce regulatory risk.

With a background of approximately eight years in automotive sales prior to transitioning into compliance, Kelly brings deep industry experience and a strong understanding of dealership operations. After stepping into the compliance field in an entry-level role, she quickly distinguished herself through high performance, generating significant revenue early in her tenure and advancing into a closing Account Executive position. Her success is driven by her creativity, persistence, and ability to build opportunities through authentic communication and problem-solving.

Kelly is known for her adaptability and resilience in a male-dominated industry, where she has carved out a strong professional identity by embracing her individuality and work ethic. She is a recipient of the Rookie of the Year recognition in 2026 and is actively involved in initiatives supporting women in automotive and workplace compliance awareness. Her approach combines strategic sales execution with a commitment to professionalism, continuous learning, and delivering value to clients navigating an evolving regulatory landscape.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to being creative, thinking outside the box, and leaning into what makes me different. I focus on active listening, authenticity, and finding ways to create opportunities even when they don’t seem to exist. I’m strong in negotiation and I consistently look for alternative ways to earn business instead of accepting “no” as a final answer.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I’ve received is to “fall on your face.” I’ve learned that failure is one of the fastest ways to grow. Instead of avoiding mistakes, I embraced them, learned quickly, and used those experiences to improve and succeed in my role.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would tell them not to get discouraged. This industry can be challenging, especially for women, but you can use that to your advantage. Lean into who you are, stay persistent, and don’t be afraid to follow up strongly and assertively. Learn to work with the environment you’re in and use your strengths to stand out.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge is working in a male-dominated, old-school industry where some clients are resistant to speaking with women over the phone and prefer in-person interactions. At the same time, there is opportunity in persistence, creativity, and building relationships differently—especially by standing out in how problems are solved and how clients are engaged.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The most important value to me is doing everything to the best of my ability. I take pride in thoroughness, strong communication, and professionalism in everything I do. Even small tasks matter to me, and I believe in completing every responsibility with full effort and intention.
